Navigating a balance between safe and secure worship while sustaining an open and welcoming environment is challenging but not unique to faith-based organizations. The Safety Work Group takes this balance very seriously.
As reported earlier this year, Safety hired a private security guard/company for 3 months as a pilot project funded from our own budget.

All Church BBQ Picnic!
Celebrate Summer with us on the Front Lawn at 5 p.m. on Saturday June 11. Join us to welcome Rev. David Prentice-Hyers! And stay for the all-church BBQ and Picnic at 6 p.m. Or bring your own picnic from home and eat with us! Drinks and dessert will be provided. Our catered meal will be provided by Smokehouse 52 BBQ - with your food pre-ordered. There will be a bounce house for kids, an inflatable mega-slide, yard games, and so much more!

Stephen Ministries is hosting a continuing education presentation for Caregivers
Join us as we welcome Robin Hamilton-Morris on May 9, 7:00 p.m. to hear her presentation on "Supporting Caregivers in Washtenaw County." Robin is a Caregiver Resource Specialist (AIRS Certified) with the Area Agency on Aging 1B. This agency connects caregivers with resources to help then care for their loved ones and themselves.

Benefit Concert for Ukraine
In response to the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Europe, First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor invites you to a Benefit Concert for Ukraine, Sunday, April 10, 2:00–3:00 in the Sanctuary. 100% of the proceeds will be distributed to the Ukrainian American Crisis Committee and Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County, which are working to aid refugees arriving to Michigan.
Peeps and Pizza EGG-stravaganza on Holy Saturday!
Team up with family and friends on Saturday, April 16 from 10:00 to 12:30 p.m. in the Social Hall and Front Lawn and create your own Bible story shoe box diorama using those “Crazy Marshmallow Peeps" – chicks and bunnies and Jesus, oh my! An outdoor pizza lunch and children's egg hunt will be offered on the front lawn at 11:30 am.
