What? Adventures with Flat Jesus? You heard us right! This summer, as we enter the travel season, we want you to take Jesus with you….yup, FLAT JESUS! (This is our take on the popular Flat Stanley books.) Pick up a copy of Flat Jesus at the church picnic on June 11 or any other Summer Sunday, or download the Flat Jesus pdf. While we hope you will be in worship with us throughout the summer, if you are away we want you to take Flat Jesus along as your traveling companion. Flat Jesus can accompany you by car, plane or boat. He can travel in your suitcase or your backpack. He can be near your computer when you are reading your daily summer devotional! Take Flat Jesus out to dinner with you, to the beach, to hang out with your family and when you meet friends all over town. Take Flat Jesus to interesting spots like the Wave Field, on North Campus, or kayaking on the Huron River!

Here is how it works
- Pick up a copy of our coloring page Flat Jesus at church or dowload your a copy to print at home.
- Color, cut out and make Flat Jesus waterproof by covering both sides with clear packing tape.
- Take Flat Jesus with you as you go out and about town or on vacation, and take pictures.
- If you share your pictures on Facebook or Instagram remember to tag our church account by adding @FirstPresA2 #FlatJesus. Or you can email them to dmacvey@firstpresbyterian.org or lhaddrill@firstpresbyterian.org and we can post them for you.
We can’t wait to see what adventures you and Jesus have this summer!
This summer we at First Pres will be walking together in our summer project called “Walking with Jesus…Mercy, Justice, and Humility.” Flat Jesus can go along with you on one of your planned walks. Using Flat Jesus is a great way to be reminded that Jesus is with you wherever you go. Take Flat Jesus everywhere, snap lots of pictures, and share them with us.
