Volunteer for the Rotating Shelter

Winter is here, and along with it another season of the Rotating Shelter.  Most of you are familiar with our church's long-standing role of annually hosting two dozen homeless men.  Due to COVID, the need this year for safe, warm shelter is even more important.  Due to COVID protocol our church is unable to be a host site.  That opens the opportunity to partner with another faith community in Ann Arbor as they host the Shelter.

 

While there is always a need for volunteers through the entire winter, we at First Presbyterian Church have the special opportunity to partner with Calvary UMC/Dexter UMC (1415 Miller Road) for the week of February 22-28, 2021.

 

Please look at the link below to sign up for a shift or shifts as you are able.  Please focus on February 22-28 first; however, know that volunteers are welcome throughout the Shelter schedule.  Apart from volunteering in the evening/overnight, donations of pre-packaged snack food for the evenings are always welcome.  Financial donations will be used for feeding the men.  Below are links to the volunteer sign-up site for February -- and for March.
