OCTOBER 28 - MARSHALL FREDERICKS SCULPTURE MUSEUM (TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED)

Visit to the Marshall Fredericks Sculpture Museum in Saginaw.  Fredericks was a Detroit-based commercial sculptor, best known locally for the “Spirit of Detroit” outside Detroit City Hall, the large Eagle inside the Michigan Stadium, and the largest cross in the U.S. in Indian River, MI.  The museum visit includes the artist’s studio, his archives, and a number of plaster casts and finished works, all of which were placed in the museum by Fredericks himself. 

     Menu:  Lunch following the museum visit at Zehnder’s in Frankenmuth.  Their family style chicken dinners will include appetizers, soup, salads, fall vegetables, potatoes, noodles, stuffing, and waves of famous Frankenmuth chicken.

Depart:  8:00 a.m.  Return:  4:00-4:30 p.m.

Price includes lunch and bus: $50 (Museum admission is free; on site donations welcome)
