Join us Sunday, December 5, at 6 p.m. in the church Social Hall for our annual Advent Mission Event, which this year will be a special intergenerational food packing event. We are joining forces with "Rise Against Hunger", and will be packing 10,000+ meals for those in need. Donations are also welcomed to help fund the cost of the meals. Contact Rev. Rise Against Hunger has three core areas of focus. First is to end hunger centers by mobilizing a global network of hunger champions. Second is to respond to crises, both natural and man-made, where food is often the most immediate need. Rise Against Hunger works through a network of in-country partners to address these needs. Lastly, Rise Against Hunger works to eradicate hunger centers around grassroots community empowerment. They help to bolster agricultural production and incomes through programs promoting improved agricultural methods, business skills, and market access.
