During the academic year, Sunday worship at First Presbyterian Church takes place at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m., with a more intimate and experimental service at 5:45 p.m. The 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. services are held in the Sanctuary, while the 8:00 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. services are in a more intimate setting, Monteith Hall. Our services include music, preaching, readings of Scripture, and prayer.

Communion is celebrated weekly at the 8:00 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. services, and approximately once a month, usually the first Sunday of the month, at the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. services.

Coffee hour is held after the 9:30 a.m. service, in the Social Hall, located beneath the Sanctuary, or outside on summer Sundays when the weather is fine.

SUMMER, 2010 WORSHIP SCHEDULE:

Our summer worship schedule begins June 13.

On June 13, 20, 27 and July 4, 8:00 a.m. worship will be in the Sanctuary. 9:30 a.m. worship will be held outside, under a tent on the Hill Street property. 200 chairs will be available, you are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Come in comfortable clothing. 11:00 a.m. worship will be in Monteith Hall. The 5:45 p.m. worship will be on hiatus for the summer. On these Sundays, Sunday school will be offered for ages crib through second grade only.

On Sundays after Independence Day, July 11 through September 5, there will be two worship services only: 8:00 a.m. worship in Monteith Hall, 9:30 a.m. worship in the Sanctuary, no 11:00 or 5:45 p.m. worship. On these Sundays, there will be Sunday School for ages crib through fifth grade only.

On September 12, we will return to the Fall schedule: 8:00 a.m. worship in Monteith Hall, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. worship in the Sanctuary, 5:45 p.m. worship in Monteith Hall.

Our service is broadcast on Ann Arbor's WAAM radio (1600 AM), Sundays at 11:00 a.m. WAAM also streams the service over the internet at the same time. Go to WAAM's website to listen.

Sunday School: During the academic year, Sunday school is offered for ages crib-twelfth grade at 9:30 a.m., and crib-5th grade at 11:00 a.m. Approximately once a month, we have a Family Worship Sunday, when children are encouraged to worship with their families in the Sanctuary. On those Sundays, child care is available at 9:30 a.md 11:00 a.m. for ages crib-Kindergarten. Adult education classes are also offered most Sundays at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Newcomers are welcome at these classes at all times.
