John Whittier-Ferguson to address PW

The February gathering of Presbyterian Women will be held Wednesday, February 17. Bible Study will begin at 9:15 a.m. in the Lewis Room, with a discussion of Joshua, "Outsiders Become Insiders." Coffee and fellowship will follow in the Social Hall at 10:30 a.m. At 11:30 a.m. John Whittier-Ferguson, Associate Professor of English at U-M, will present "Faith and the Shapes of Poetry."  All are welcome.

PW will hear Artist Michael Kapetan

At the Presbyterian Women's Gathering on Wednesday, December 16, Michael Kapetan, Adjunct Assistant Professor, School of Art and Design, U-M, will present "Science, Art and Spirituality. He is known to the church through his wood carving, "Genesis," which hangs in the narthex.  The morning will begin with Bible study at 9:15 a.m. in the Lewis Room (note the change), followed by Mr. Kapetan's presentation, and concluding with a luncheon. Please make reservations for the luncheon ($7) with your circle leader, or sign up in the Church Office.

Presbyterian Women to learn about Frontier Fellowship

On Wednesday, October 21, at 10:45 a.m., the Rev. Dan McNerney, Associate Director of the Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship, will speak about the church's various frontier missions and his experiences of around-the-world mission efforts.  Lunch ($7) will follow in the Social Hall. Preceding Mr. McNerney's talk, Barbara Black will lead a Bible study of Joshua, a Journey of Faith, starting at 9:15 a.m.

PW Spring luncheon and awards

THE PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN’S SPRING LUNCH will take place Wednesday, May 20. All interested men and women are invited to attend. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Monteith Hall with a program that includes a Bible study, an awards ceremony, and the PW annual meeting. A festive Spring Lunch ($5) will follow in the Social Hall. No reservations are required.

Spring Gathering of PWPD

Women of the Detroit Presbytery will gather on Wednesday, May 6, at Fort Street Presbyterian Church in Detroit 9:45 a.m. for a program, lunch, and fellowship, ending at 2:00 p.m.  The Rev. Meet the artists: Presbyterian Women gathering features church artwork

The February gathering of Presbyterian Women of our congregation will be held Wednesday, February 17, beginning with Bible study at 9:30 a.m. in Monteith Hall. At 10:45 p.m., Carl Binder and Malcolm Powers of our congregation will talk about their artwork, particularly their pieces on display throughout the church. Lunch will follow in the Social Hall. Enjoy the Christmas Creche Display, Music and Tea

The Annual All-Church Christmas Tea, sponsored by the Presbyterian Women, will take place Sunday, December 7, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Curtis Room. Seasonal music will be provided by the AAUW Recorder Ensemble, and Jan Warner's creche collection will be on display. ALL members of the church, newcomers, friends, family members, and visitors are warmly invited to this relaxing and pleasant afternoon of fellowship.

Joint Mothers' Morning/Presbyterian Women Meeting

A joint Mothers' Morning/Presbyterian Women meeting will take place Tuesday, November 11, in the Youth Room. Check in is from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. Members of Mother's Morning and Presbyterian Women will discuss the book The Red Tent, a biblical fiction story of Dinah, the sole daughter of Jacob. Lunch will be served in the Social Hall at noon, coordinated by Toni Keuning and Marcia VanTuyl. If you have not already signed up, registration is available on a per-meeting basis for $5 a meeting.
