Mothers' Morning starts a new semester

Mother's Morning starts off the new semester on Tuesday, January 12, with a "Keith Hafner's Karate" women's self-defense class. This group for mothers of children ages newborn to fifth graders meets the second Tuesday of each month in the Youth Room for fellowship and a program. Mothers' Morning keeps sanity

The December 8 meeting of Mothers' Morning will discuss "Keeping Your Sanity During the Holidays." During the meeting which lasts from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. there will be time for socializing, discussion, an easy craft, and refreshments.  New members are welcome!

Mothers' Morning gets organized

Carolyn Anderson-Ferman, organizing consultant from SimplyOrganizedLife.com will offer tips about organization for families to Mothers' Morning on Tuesday, November 10.  She will discuss specific ways to organize, but also focus on how we get there conceptually.  Newcomers are welcome, with a change of just $3 per meeting.  Questions? Mothers' Morning gets tips on "Better Coupon Savings"

On Tuesday, October 13, Mother's Morning will meet in the Youth Room to hear Barbara Zinser tell about how she has found the principles of the nationally known "coupon mom" helpful to her own shopping. Come learn her methods to stretch your own money!  Check-in for all and breakfast treats start at 9:00 a.m.; the featured program is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Family Playdate

Mothers’ Morning, our group for moms of young children, is sponsoring a Family Playdate on Tuesday, August 18, for moms, dads, families and children of all ages. All you need to do is show up! We will visit Buhr Park and Pool, 2751 Packard Road, for public swim from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Bring snacks, suits, and towels.

Mothers Morning meets at County Farm Park

The first summer playdate for Mothers' Morning will be at the County Farm Park on June 23, starting at 9:30 a.m. Moms, dads, families and children of all ages are welcome. The park has a covered picnic area near the play structure, and is located at 2960 Washtenaw (entrance off Platt Road).

Mothers study optimism

The May meeting of Mothers' Morning (May 12 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the Youth Room) will be a workshop on the mechanics of optimism, and practice in seeing the proverbial glass half full. Optimists live longer, have better health, and report being happier than pessimists. Better yet, optimism can be learned.  Pessimists welcome!

Angry? RETHINK the situation

The featured program for Mothers' Morning this month is "RETHINK: Anger Management for Parents."  RETHINK is a program that helps parents understand anger and learn skills to manage it constructively. Parents can then effectively teach their children how to manage anger.  Mothers will meet in the Youth Room on April 7 at 9:00 a.m.
